Lake Country Flat DA Pads 5.5"

The 5.5" Lake Country Flat Dual Action Pads are a new take on a classic buffing pad.   

Flat DA Pads were originally available from Lake Country in 6.5" and they proved to be very popular with detailers. The 5.5" pads have the same flat, full contact face and curved edge but the new slim size opens up new possibilities.

Lake Country Flat Pads feature a thickness of 7/8" of an inch, as well as a reduced bevel for the perfect balance and control. The smooth feel and performance of these newly refreshed Lake Country Flat Pads allows for the perfect alignment of your backing plate for an overall increased experience.

The thinner, compact pads allow the polisher to work more efficiently by keeping the pad moving under pressure. The thinner pads can also give the operator more of a feel for the pad's motion.

Lake Country Flat Foam Pads are made of imported German foam that reduces heat build-up and spontaneous heat transfer between the machine and the pad. More pad-to-paint contact allows you to work more efficiently to get the desired results.

The following pads are available: 

Yellow Cutting Flat 5.5 inch Foam Pad - Use this pad to apply compounds or polishes to remove severe oxidation, swirls, and scratches. It is the most aggressive and should only be used on oxidized and heavily swirled finishes.

Orange Light Cutting Flat 5.5 inch Foam Pad - Firm, high density foam for scratch and defect removal. Use this pad with polishes and swirl removers. It’s an all-around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections.

White Heavy Polishing Flat 5.5 inch Foam Pad - Less dense foam formula for the application of cleaner waxes, one step polishes, or "all in one" type products. This pad has very light cutting power, so it's perfect for pre-wax cleaners.

Green Polishing Flat 5.5 inch Foam Pad - Use this foam to apply one-step cleaner waxes. It is a balance of polishing and finishing that is perfect for all-in-one product application.             

Blue Light Polishing Flat 5.5 inch Foam Pad – This pad is not as dense as the green polishing pad and provides little cutting ability. Generally used to polish to perfect, this pad will leave a high shine on the surface. Perfect for use with a finishing glaze, last-step polish, and some all-in-one cleaner polishes.

Black Finishing Flat 5.5 inch Foam Pad - Composition is firm enough to withstand added pressure during final finishing to remove buffer swirls. It has no cut and will apply thin, even coats of waxes, sealants and glazes.
